In this class, we will explore and develop both freedom and control when it comes to knife work and knife survival. The goal is to develop maximum freedom and not lose control, while gaining enough control to maintain freedom of movement.
Tense up your arms as if you are holding weapons. Take a few steps and see wether you lose the control. Check if the tension of your arms interferes with your smooth walking.

Rotate the stick using your fingers, make sure to keep breathing and connect it to your movement
Swing the stick back and forth, keeping your wrist relaxed
Switch between hands
If you practice on your own, it is good to do each exercise about 50 times to develop the wrist and fingers
Swing the stick using your whole arm

Restrictions can be physical, health related, and psychological.
Breathing and movements are the optimal tools to function regardless of any limitation.
Drill: stand up and prepare yourself to move
Inhale: tense up your whole body while lifting your arms and exhale and relax
Wave-like tension for warm up
Drill: open your arms wide, inhale and tense up your body and then exhale and relax
